Chronic Migraine

Migraine headaches can be extremely debilitating causing severe pain, nausea, vomiting, mood changes or other sensory phenomena, such as vision changes or numbness and tingling. Chronic migraine is defined as at least 15 headaches in a month for 3 consecutive months. Migraines can be triggered by various factors including hormonal changes, stress, lack of sleep, certain foods and whether changes.

Chronic migraine can be treated with lifestyle changes, avoidance of triggers and prescription medications. However, many patients still suffer significantly despite these measures. In these cases, Botox can be very beneficial in reducing the frequency and severity of migraine headaches.
