• Botox for Migraine

Botox has been approved for the treatment of chronic migraine to decrease the frequency and severity of headaches. Botox is administered in multiple injections around the head and neck. Most patients notice improvement of symptoms within 2-3 weeks and treatment can be repeated as needed at least 12 weeks apart. Botox for migraine is not covered by OHIP; however, private insurance may cover some or all of the cost of treatment.
